General Preparation (For All Types)

Before beginning installation:

• Ensure walls are clean, dry, and smooth.
• Remove dust, grease, nails, and flaky paint.
• Measure and mark your starting line using a level and pencil.
• Lay out panels on the floor to visualize placement.

• Caulk Gun (if using adhesive)
• Rubber Roller (for peel-and-stick)
• Brad Nail Gun (for nail gun install)

Nail Gun Installation

Ideal for: Thicker or heavier panels like wood/MDF
Requires: Brad nail gun or finish nailer

Step-by-Step:

1. Locate wall studs using a stud finder and mark them.
2. Start at the bottom corner of the wall.
3. Align your first panel to your guidelines.
4. Use a brad nail gun to fasten the panel into studs (nails every 12–16").
5. Fit subsequent panels tightly together and continue fastening.
6. Fill nail holes with wood filler or color-matched putty.
7. Optional: Add caulk between panels for seamless joints.

Tip: Leave a 1/8" gap at edges for expansion if using wood-based panels.

Peel-and-Stick Installation

Ideal for: Lightweight panels with pre-applied adhesive
Requires: Clean, primed surface and rubber roller

Step-by-Step:

1. Wipe the wall clean of dust and grease. Let dry fully.
2. Measure and draw a level starting line.
3. Peel the adhesive backing off the first panel.
4. Align carefully and press onto the wall starting at one edge.
5. Use a rubber roller to apply even pressure across the surface.
6. Continue placing additional panels tightly against each other.

Tip: Avoid repositioning, adhesive is strongest on first contact.

Glue-On Installation

Ideal for: Panels without adhesive, such as solid PVC, composite, or acoustic
Requires: Construction adhesive or latex panel glue

Step-by-Step:

1. Clean the wall surface thoroughly.
2. Apply adhesive in an “S” or zig-zag pattern on the back of the panel.
3. Align panel to guide marks and press firmly against the wall.
4. Use painter’s tape to hold the panel in place if needed.
5. Repeat with remaining panels, ensuring even spacing and level alignment.
6. Wipe away any adhesive squeeze-out with a damp cloth.

Tip: Let adhesive cure 24–48 hours before applying pressure or weight.
