Installation Instructions
Follow these easy steps to install your new wall lamp, whether indoors or outdoors. This guide covers replacing an existing wall sconce.
Tools Needed:
- Screwdriver
- Wire nuts (included)
- Voltage tester
Installation Steps:
1. Turn Off Power:
- Switch off power at your home's main electrical panel.
- Use a voltage tester to confirm the power is off.
2. Remove Old Lamp:
- Unscrew and remove your old wall lamp from the junction box.
- Carefully disconnect the wires by removing any wire nuts.
3. Attach New Mounting Bracket:
- Place the new mounting bracket onto the existing junction box.
- Secure the bracket using the screws provided.
4. Connect Wires:
- Match and connect the wires from your new lamp to those in the junction box:
- Twist wires together and secure them using the wire nuts provided.
5. Mount Lamp Fixture:
- Align your new lamp with the mounting bracket.
- Securely fasten the fixture to the bracket using provided screws.
6. Install Light Bulb (if needed):
- Insert the recommended bulb type and wattage into the lamp socket.
7. Restore Power and Check:
- Turn power back on at your electrical panel.
- Switch on your lamp to test it works properly.
